Dreaming of Fuschia and Smokey Plum

Melissa Sunjaya founded Tulisan back in 2010 and has since created a trademark which is exclusively belong to Tulisan products.

Bold colors, whimsical illustrations as well as detailed and elaborate craftsmanship have earned Tulisan enthusiastic responses from its market over the years. The business was started in 2010 with only 5 million Rupiahs of capital. It multiplied 2000 times into 10 billion Rupiahs of turnover a year by 2013.

Tulisan products come in different varieties such as bags, clothing, home accessories, book and paper products such as note card and monograph journal among others. Melisa attained her inspiration for Tulisan back in 2006, when she was studying print fabrication methods, particularly hand-painted and silk-screened batik. Tulisan was materialized 4 years later as quality handmade products featuring Melissa’s exquisite taste for art printed on them.
