If you’ve never been in close proximity with animals before, Bali Safari and Marine Park offers you a chance to get up close and personal with the wildlife. Accommodating more than 140 species in over 40 hectares of land, the park is a perfect choice for a family day out.
Located in the forests around Gianyar, around 40 minutes from the Airport by car with no traffic, the Bali Safari and Marine Park is a home to more than 600 individual animals of selected exotic and endemic Indonesian species including a group of Komodo Dragons, Orang Utan, Bali Mynah Birds, and Sumatran Elephants. Owned by the world-renowned Taman Safari Indonesia Group, this animal exhibit provides an educational and fun experience packed into an adventurous attraction.
The park has 7 main areas for you to visit. There is the Safari Journey, Bali Theatre, Mara River Safari Lodge, Night Safari, Funzone and Water Park, Elephant Back Safari, and Harimau Show—From Predator to Prey. One of the highlights, the Elephant Back Safari sees you ride through an African-themed habitat and interact with over a dozen other elephants that join you on the journey. And if that’s not enough, you also get to see up close the other African animals that are roaming freely in the same area such as rhinos, zebras and wildebeest.
Not only a conservation park, the facilities also cater to your culinary tastes and with a distinctive atmosphere. For instance, The Tsavo Lion Restaurant is located side by side with lion’s exhibition area where you can watch a pride of lions gathering and playing with each other while you enjoy items from a most appetizing menu.
To experience the quintessential Bali in rather different way, try a visit to Bali Safari and Marine Park.
