Celebrating History Through Gastronomy at 1928

Previously occupying L’Avenue Restaurant at The Hermitage, 1928 is driven by the heritage and building concept, serving menus that focus on colonial, Peranakan and Indonesian/Pan Asian cuisine. The 1928 introduces a fresh, modern take on colonial era dishes using only the best, locally sourced ingredients.

Evoking diners’ memories of a previous era, signature dishes include Grilled Bone Marrow, Bruine Bonen Soep, Macaroni Schotel, Beef Bitterballen, Pindang Bandeng, Dutch Steak, Klappertaart and Poffertjes. The best experience comes from the Rijstaffel Package for a minimum of four persons offering the perfect option for family, friends, clients, and intimate gatherings.

The 1928 is the latest colonial-style eatery to open in Jakarta and gives diners the chance to revisit history through an array of food and beverages. The 1928 Sunday Brunch is also available from 12.00 to 3.00 p.m. and features a drink trolley with a bartender roaming the restaurant creating mocktails.
