Garnier #OneGreenStep as New Lifestyle by Sorting Waste from Home

#OneGreenStep campaign since it was launched in 2020, consistently encourages all youth with sustainable lifestyle practices starting from home. But in fact it’s been challenging to consistently implementing the practices. One Green Step report reveals that 83% of people want to be more sustainable in 2022 compared to year 2021 with 81%, and only 5% consider themselves as already acting sustainably.

On a talk show at Jakarta X Beauty 2022, Melanie Masriel, Chief Corporate Affairs, Engagement and Sustainability, L’Oréal Indonesia mentioned, “Garnier has become a pioneering mass beauty brand that provides online and offline waste management online, in collaboration with eRecycle and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). Apart from giving easy access, Garnier also invites many inspirational figures to reach out and educate more people, especially young people.”

On the same occasion, Susi Pudjiastuti, Entrepreneur and Environmental Activist, supported this campaign and stated that the urgency for all people to participate by changing to a more sustainable lifestyle: “It is important for young leaders to have determination and contribution to take one small step towards being environmentally friendly.”

We also want to thank the whole community and partners who have helped collect 119 tons of waste in 2021. Let’s take part with the Garnier recycling program and download the eRecycle app. This year we aim to collect 200 tons of waste, whereas last year we have collected 191 tons of waste” added by Mohamad Fikri, Corporate Responsibility Director, L’Oréal Indonesia.
