Indonesia Now, formerly also known as Indonesia Diversity, is a group of eminent Indonesian designers formed in 2018, whose collections are showcased in leading international fashion stages worldwide.
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is soon to be the stage for Indonesia Now’s esteemed designers and fashion brands to showcase their designs to global audiences and fashion enthusiasts in promoting Indonesia’s high quality, sustainable and creative fashion designs. The New York Fashion Week (NYFW) The Shows – Spring Summer 2023/2024 will be held at Spring Studios, New York, United States, on 13 September 2023 at 11:00 am New York time. NYFW The Shows are part of the official line-up of New York Fashion Week.
Special on this upcoming NYFW season, Indonesia Now will showcase an exclusive range of designs from seven Indonesian fashion and accessory designers and brands, namely LAVANI by AMERO X LIVETTE, AYUMI, Ghea Panggabean, IKAT Indonesia by Didiet Maulana, Ivan Gunawan, Kimberly Tandra X Mandy’s Shoes, and Merdi Sihombing. They will present a ready-to-wear collection inspired by the Indonesian rich culture and crafts. Various crafts and motifs are produced based on inspirations from the reliefs of Borobudur temple, woven from West Sumatra, pearls from Lombok, woven from Sumba, Wiron pleats of Java, the kingdom of Majapahit, tropical flower motifs, contemporary Ulos of North Sumatra, and many more.
Particularly on this NYFW season, Indonesia Now is supported and in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in the United States, SEMAJA Restaurant, Artisan Pro, Dunia Mega Bintang Foundation, DEO Entertainment, CAS Production, Redberry, Memulai Cerita, Stanouts, and Indah Aini Makeup Artist.
