The Ascott Limited Indonesia hosted an exciting event in commemoration of the 78th Indonesia’s Independence Day with the theme “Spirit of Independence”. This was the first event to be held by Ascott Hotels (JABOBEK), which aimed to reintroduce The Ascott Limited and its hotel chain among the residents in Jakarta, Bogor and Bekasi region, involving 13 properties namely, Vertu Harmoni Jakarta, HARRIS Suites fX Sudirman, HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion, HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading, HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Bekasi, HARRIS Hotel Sentul City Bogor, YELLO Hotel Harmoni, POP! Hotel Tebet, POP! Hotel Kemang, POP! Hotel Pasar Baru, POP! Hotel Kelapa Gading, Pesona Alam Resort & Spa and The Botanica Sanctuary.
The series of event began with fun zumba, which was participated by Zumba communities and hotel representatives. Continued with plogging, an activity of picking up trash while jogging, as a part collaboration with Gamma Waste community, which the collected plastic waste in the area will be recycled into items that can be reused. This community itself supports various activities that focus on environmental preservation and plastic waste.
This exciting event was also enlivened by a series of entertainment performances from flag hoisting troops, music entertainment, various games, blood donation, as well as attractive door prizes. The event is expected to attract public interest and restore enthusiasm and a healthy lifestyle that is in line with the brand image of The Ascott Limited Indonesia.
