The annual United Tractors “SOBAT” Competition 2023 is back! This year highlights a theme “Effective Technology Innovation Creating a Competitive Generation for Sustainable Vocational Education”. The event aims to support the acceleration of vocational education and to prepare students of High School / Vocational School and Polytechnic / University ready to enter the workforce and industry. The assessment of this competition is based on quality innovation that can contribute highly competitive benefits. The competition is also an implementation of the 4th SDGs pillar, which is quality education.
Since its first launch in 2019, the “SOBAT” Competition has received positive feedback, as reflected in the increment of participants each year. This “SOBAT” Competition 2023 was attended by 2,716 with a total of 1,358 innovations. The distribution of participants in the 2023 “SOBAT” Competition is even broader, with 1071 participants coming from Java, 108 from Sumatra, 69 from Sulawesi, 135 from Kalimantan, and 3 from Papua.
Each participant is required to go through several stages, from proposal submission and making prototype designs according to the approved proposals. Those participants who are eligible to proceed to the next stage, then receive subsidized funds to make the designed prototype. Participants are also supervised by a mentor from the “SOBAT” Competition team in making the prototype.

1st: Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya
2nd: Institut Teknologi Telkom Purwokerto
3rd: Politeknik ATMI Surakarta
