After displayed her creations in London, Ayu Dyah Andari has returned and allowed us to take a sneak peek of her pieces that she presented at the London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 and at the Indonesia Night.
“Rose and Beyond”, a collection which was inspired by the beauty and strength of women and the universe, is a project collaboration between Ayu Dyah Andari as the designer and Putri Zulkifli Hasan as the muse. Here, presented the 22 previously shown pieces and Ayu Dyah Andari’s 26 never-seen-before creations, making a total of 48. The ‘Rose’, an element that is always present in each Ayu’s works, represents woman’s gentle beauty and strength, cradling the universe. Meanwhile, the ‘Beyond’ signifies the unbeatable force of women in society and their boundless potential. Crafted using traditional embroidery techniques, the collection also highlights the elegant color scheme, which combine ivory white and champagne, punctuated by the occasional dusk purple, hinting at European colonial arts, subtly blended with Eastern influence. “Rose and Beyond” was not solely a display of fashion but a narrative of cultural synthesis.
Taking place at The Grand Ballroom of The Langham, Jakarta, “Rose and Beyond” was also celebrated by Indonesia’s famous personas, including Tiqasya, Okky Asokawati, Amelia Natadiputra, Indah Nada Puspita, Sarah Sofyan, and Nesa Aqilla
