
As part of a series of the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF), the International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF) 2023 was successfully held on 25-29 October 2023 at Plenary dan Cendrawasih Hall, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta. The festival accelerated and strengthened the growth of Sharia economics and finance in Indonesia in becoming the center of the world’s modest fashion.
The festival was officially opened by the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Perry Warjiyo, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) Teten Masduki, and the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah. In the opening ceremony, a modest wear parade themed “The Future of Modest Fashion” was presented as a form of collaboration between SMEs under Bank Indonesia Representative Office (KPw BI) across Indonesian regions together with the Indonesian Sharia Creative Industries Council (IKRA) renowned designers namely Ali Charisma, Itang Yunasz, and Wignyo Rahadi.
During the festival period, a total of 176 Indonesian designers successfully showcased their stunning collections in front of Indonesian and international fashion enthusiasts. This year IN2MF participated by 10 international designers from London, Malaysia, Paris, Algeria, the United States, India, Kuwait, Morocco, and Japan. Alongside, there were more than 200 fashion brands in the industry that exhibited various collections of Indonesian modest fashion products, as well as a series of fashion shows, international standard trade exhibitions, talk shows, and business matching.
While in the closing ceremony themed “Couture in Wastra”, presented an elegant modest wear collection with a touch of traditional Wastra from the designers namely TutyAdib, Naniek Rachmat, Tia Hidayat, Darabirra, Zahra Zhafira, Zeta Privè, Dian Pelangi, Riris Ghofir, and guest designer from Morocco Nisrin Yahi.
