CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH HENNESSY LIMITED EDITIONS WITH ARTIST YANG YONGLIANG

To celebrate the 2024 Chinese New Year of the Dragon, Maison Hennessy presents a limited-edition collection based on a digital art piece by Chinese artist Yang Yongliang, called ‘Dragon’s Odyssey’. Yang Yongliang creates amazing details and a three-dimensional effect,  combining traditional and digital art to create a dynamic scene of metallic dragons in the waves. The bottles have red and gold colors symbolizing joy and prosperity and are inspired by Yang’s childhood memories of dragons and coins. He respects Hennessy’s history and traditions and hopes to inspire people to learn more about dragons and their meaning in Chinese philosophy. The special collection reflects Hennessy’s slogan ‘together we are unstoppable’ and the spirit of 2024; the year to unleash positive energy and celebrate what brings us together. The artistic bottles are available in VSOP, XO and Paradis and are ideal for gifts, drinks or decorations for the season.

Hennessy CEO Laurent Boillot says Hennessy has a long history with Chinese culture with 163 years of shared history and expresses the company’s excitement to launch the collection worldwide. Hennessy’s V.S.O.P and X.O are classic and versatile cognacs with a signature blend. This is a special Chinese New Year collection by Hennessy and Yang Yongliang.

Yang Yongliang grew up in a picturesque old water town in Greater Shanghai and was trained in traditional Chinese landscape painting. He later went to college in central Shanghai to study digital and three-dimensional art. As he was growing up and learning about different artistic techniques, Shanghai was undergoing a significant and rapid urban transformation all around him. All of these influences fuelled Yang Yongliang’s artistic style, and he is known for mixing traditional Chinese art with contemporary, innovative digital technology, practicing digital photography like a painter.
