A RECORD-BREAKING EVENT! – Study UK & Careers Fest by BritCham Education Centre brought more than 300 Indonesians together from all education and professional levels. The Fest was held on Saturday, 24 February 2024 at Alila SCBD Jakarta and supported by the British Embassy Jakarta.
It provided an excellent combination of education and careers exhibition to showcase the UK as a whole! The Fest itself served as an excellent platform for Indonesian students and young adults to have a better picture of their plans, either with further education in the UK and/or their career paths. This Fest is not only limited to students and young adults, but parents and school counsellors have also benefited in finding the best choice for their children’s future educational needs and career prospects through participating UK universities and corporates, and the Talkshow Corners.
The Talkshow Corner began with an introduction from UK universities and companies exhibitors. And it would only be complete with hearing first-hand what studying at UK universities is like from Indonesian alumni’s perspective with professional backgrounds who have been educated at UK universities and whose careers were supported by their lifetime in the UK.
UK universities offer a variety of unique yet industry-demand-driven degrees that will accelerate your career prospects upon returning to Indonesia.
This Fest also offered information for Indonesian career finders. This is substantiated by the inclusion of a Career Corner featuring presentations by representatives from MOONFOLK. This session delves into strategies for enhancing a CV to increase its attractiveness to HR, along with tips and tricks for job interviews as well as other insights related to the professional sphere.
