
Archipelago International for the first time brings the Asian culinary experience to the city of Bojonegoro. The deliciousness of Asian cuisine was presented at the Archipelago Food Festival at Aston Bojonegoro City Hotel. The culinary festival took place on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Andrawina Ballroom of Aston Bojonegoro City Hotel, this Archipelago Food Festival showcased the best collaboration of 14 Executive Chefs from hotels under Archipelago International in the East Java area.
Carrying the theme “Taste of Asia”, this Archipelago Food Festival presented special dishes typical of Asian cuisine, including dishes from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Korea, China, and the Middle East. More than 53 dishes were available, ranging from appetizers, main courses, desserts, to various food and beverage stands. Some iconic dishes that were served at this AFF event include Beef Bulgabi from Korea, Teppanyaki from Japan, Peking duck from China, Chili Crab from Singapore, Nasi Lemak from Malaysia, Shawarma from the Middle East, Pepes Ikan Jendil typical of Bojonegoro, and many more.
The chefs who participated on this Archipelago Food Festival including Chef Eko Wahyu from Aston and favehotel Bojonegoro, Chef Bowo from Aston Inn Jemursari, Chef Petrus from Aston Gresik, Chef Sudirman from favehotel Sidoarjo, Chef Danu from The Alana Malang, Chef Topan from Aston Inn Batu, Chef Susanto from The Alana Surabaya, Chef Agam from Aston Mojokerto, Chef Hanny from NEO+ Waru Sidoarjo, Chef Andri from favehotel Rungkut Surabaya, Chef Subadri from Aston Madiun, and Chef Hendra from favehotel Malang, as well as Chef Denny Fredderick – Corporate Executive Chef of Archipelago International, together with Chef Risman Sukmawan – Corporate Pastry Chef of Archipelago International.

Delicious culinary delights indulged the visitors along with entertainment by various performances, including Live Bands and the traditional Sanjiwani Dance, which was a characteristic dance of Bojonegoro. Furthermore, the grand stage setup and captivating lighting added to the special atmosphere for visitors throughout the event.
It is hoped that with this annual event, the brand presence of Archipelago International can continue to grow and become a trendsetter, especially in the culinary field. Additionally, this event is also anticipated to become a yearly highlight, providing support for the tourism sector and the development of the culinary industry in Bojonegoro and its surroundings.
