SAUDI ARABIA INVITES INDONESIAN TRAVELERS TO EXPLORE BEYOND PILGRIMAGE

Saudi Arabia, traditionally a destination for spiritual journeys, now invites Indonesian explorers to immerse themselves in its vibrant culture, illustrious history, and thrilling adventures. The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) is rolling out a suite of initiatives to showcase the Kingdom as a welcoming, safe, and captivating destination for Indonesian globetrotters. Since opening its doors to the world in 2019, Saudi Arabia’s tourism landscape has flourished, and in 2023, the Kingdom celebrated a landmark achievement, hosting over 100 million visitors, with Indonesian tourists contributing a 36% increase from the previous year. This sets the stage for an ambitious goal in 2024: to welcome 2.2 million Indonesian visitors.

After recently dazzled Jakarta with the NUSUK Roadshow, a pioneering digital platform that simplifies travel planning to Makkah, Madinah, and beyond, the STA captivated consumers with the “VISIT SAUDI, BEYOND UMRAH” at Kota Kasablanka from May 1st to 5th, 2024. This extravaganza showcased Saudi Arabia’s allure, extending well past spiritual pursuits to encompass cultural and adventurous experiences. The event was further enlivened by Indonesian celebrity and seasoned traveler Titi Kamal, who shared her enchanting Saudi escapades with attendees. The event also featured irresistible promotions from Indonesian travel agencies, including special rates and discounts, cashback, group deals, and flexible payment options.

In a groundbreaking move, the VFS Tasheer Office, endorsed by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offered an exclusive visa service during the exhibition. Eligible applicants could secure a one-year, multiple-entry visa within 24 hours, streamlining their journey to the Kingdom. Safety and inclusivity are paramount in Saudi Arabia, making it a secure destination for all. The country’s commitment to female empowerment and safety is exemplified by initiatives like the Saudi Arabia Women’s Expedition and its recognition as the safest G20 nation. Enhancing accessibility, Saudi Arabia has simplified visa procedures and extended Umrah visa durations. The Nusuk App and VFS Tasheer offices in Jakarta facilitate visa applications, while discussions with Lion Air promise expanded flight routes.
