
The annual tourism travel mart organized by The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) runs from 5-7 June 2024 at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, Phang-nga. This year’s edition TTM+ The TTM+ 2024 has registered a strong turnout, with a record number of buyers: 425, which constitutes 55.5% returning buyers and 44.5% new ones, from various countries such as East Asia (30.4%), Europe (25.2%), ASEAN, South Asia and the South Pacific (20.9%), the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East (11.3%), as well as Thailand (12.2%). Over 800 participants joined the networking events, around 430 booths of sellers participated from various tourism sectors across the country, including 46 exhibitors who won the Thailand Tourism Awards 2023.

Highlighting the theme “High-Value, Sustainable Tourism” and the campaign concept “Amazing Thailand: Your Stories Never End,” the TTM+ 2024 focuses on responsible travel experiences that connect with local communities, support sustainable practices, and minimize environmental impact. Ensuring Thailand remains a premier travel destination, preserving its natural beauty, cultural diversities, and uniquely Thai tourism sectors, for delivering meaningful holiday experiences for travelers.

Mr. Sermsak Pongpanit, Minister of Tourism and Sports, presided over the opening ceremony. Joining him at the event was Miss. Niracha Banditchat, Vice Governor of Phang-nga Province, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mr. Lertsak Ponklin, President of Phang-nga Tourism Association, and officials and dignitaries from the Thai public and private sectors.

TTM+ 2024 programs featured appointments, networking sessions, performances, pre-tours and post-tours, as well as talk-shows with insightful topics on Navigating Tomorrow: Global Consumer Trends Reshaping the Tourism Industry with speaker Victoria Loomes as Head of Trends: TrendWatching and another topic on Thailand’s Gastronomic Journey: Towards a Sustainable Food Future by Chudaree Debhakam, Head Chef: Baan Tepa, a two Michelin stars restaurant.
During the three-day event, TTM+ showcased unique tourism-related products, which highlighted the four diverse tourism experiences in Phang-nga, as the host and part of southern provinces, which includes ‘Try & Taste’ – a selection of coffees from Kopi Kuapa, Thai craft chocolates from Cocoa Valley, and organic teas from Sawanbondin; ‘Showcase’ – local crafts from Morgan Village and Batik from Takuapa; ‘Local Product’ – authentic local products and fresh fruits; and ‘Unleash’ – DIY activities on batik painting or beadwork workshops.
