INDONESIA PAVILION: COLLECTIVE INITIATIVE – ROAD TO FIND 2024

Asia’s premier and leading trade show and design fair, FIND – Design Fair Asia, will run from 26-28 September 2024 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. This 3rd year of FIND will also coincide and be a cornerstone with the Singapore Design Week. FIND 2024 is a vibrant marketplace that connects 350+ international brands of exhibitors, suppliers, and distributors with industry professionals in Asia Pacific. Following the previous year’s success, with an overall attendance of 12,624 visitors, 72 visiting countries, exhibiting 300+ brands from 21 countries. For FIND 2024, more have confirmed their participation from the globally renowned visitors, buyers, and professionals, featuring business matching programs, a global summit, exciting masterclasses, workshops, and more.

As one of the Supporting Associations of FIND, a collective initiative between Indonesian Contemporary Art & Design (ICAD) and the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII) Jakarta, this year Indonesia Pavilion aims to showcase various Indonesian contemporary design and crafts, inclusive, and inspiring creativities. A curation process led by Diana Nazir, Founder of ICAD, and Ranu Scarvia, Chair of HDII DKI Jakarta, Indonesia Pavilion will bring together various ranges and styles of handmade products, crafts, and interior materials.

In conjunction with the participation of FIND 2024, Singapore, a preview of the Road to Indonesia Pavilion at FIND 2024, Singapore was held on 17 July 2024 at Homestory Store Jakarta in Indonesia Design District, PIK 2. Attended by the Director of FIND Design Fair Asia – Carl Press, Special Staff to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in the Field of Productivity, Added Value of Intellectual Property, and Competitiveness – Joshua Simanjuntak, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government PPKUKM Service – Elizabeth Ratu Rante Allo, along with members of the committee and representative of Indonesia Pavilion booth participants, product designers and interior designers.

The design of Indonesia Pavilion is based on a concept from Indonesia’s geographical and strategic location, an archipelago that consists of diverse religions, cultures, and languages. The booth invites visitors to embark and experience Indonesian culture up close, infused with modern and contemporary touches through a variety of materials. Embracing the 2025 color trend that reflects a significant shift towards strategic imagination, where innovative ideas will be crucial in solving the challenges arising from a continued period of disruption, volatility, and uncertainty. Each will create harmony and synergy, offering a fresh perspective of Indonesian design to the international arena and market.

The Indonesia Pavilion booth will showcase various local products and materials, such as natural rattan, synthetic rattan, woven, ceramic, glass, metal, acrylic, and many others. Signature Indonesian decorations with a modern and contemporary design will also enhance and complement the look and also highlight the uniqueness of each brand displayed.

The participation of the Indonesia Pavilion at FIND – Design Fair Asia 2024 is supported by the Department Industry Trade Cooperative Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) DKI Province Jakarta, Cellux, Indonesia Design District (IDD), and Viro, along with confirmed participation from MSMEs assisted by the Department of Industry, Trade, Small and Medium Enterprise Cooperatives (PPKUKM) DKI Jakarta Province (Indonesian Porcelain Nuances, Goodvibes, Riani Rattan, Yoshi Craft), Cellux, Viro, Eternal Himalayas, Malka, Manawa Living, Indonesia Design District (IDD), HDII DKI Jakarta and ICAD.
