With a distinguished career in the hospitality industry spanning over three decades, Oliver brings a wealth of expertise and an outstanding track record of excellence to his new role.
Oliver’s journey in the world of hospitality has taken him across continents, including Europe, Asia, the United States, and the Middle East, where he developed a deep passion for Culinary Arts and impeccable service. Throughout his illustrious career, Oliver has established himself as a prominent leader in the Food & Beverage sector.
In 2007, Oliver took on the role of Executive Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental Manila. His leadership path continued as Hotel Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo in 2014, during which the hotel garnered numerous accolades, including Conde Nast’s Best Tokyo Hotel in 2015 and Best Spa in Japan from SpaFinder. Oliver’s proficiency in Food & Beverage operations paved the way for his subsequent roles with Marriott International, including a Senior Director position in Restaurants & Bar APAC in 2016, and overseeing six prestigious luxury brands as Area Director of Operations in Greater China in 2017.
As General Manager, an ardent supporter of Bayern Munich and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Oliver is poised to lead the team at The St. Regis Jakarta with an unwavering commitment to the brand’s legendary heritage. Under his guidance, The St. Regis Jakarta will continue to set the standard as the premier destination for discerning travelers, embodying the cultural heart of the city. Located at the finest address within Jakarta’s three main business districts, the hotel offers 282 luxurious rooms, and an array of exceptional 5 food and beverage venues including The St. Regis Bar, two grand ballrooms, and The St. Regis Spa.
