JAKARTA MUSLIM FASHION WEEK, JMFW 2025

The annual Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week, or JMFW 2025 was successfully held on 9-12 October 2024 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang, Banten. This year’s theme, “Mark Ink” aimed to put Indonesia as one of the prominent countries in the world’s modest fashion industry.

The four-day JMFW 2025 has brought approximately thousands of visitors from various segments including industry players, public visitors, and buyers from different countries. In addition, 56 countries participated in business matching and deals, such as Japan, Paris, the Netherlands, and more. This has shown that the Indonesian modest fashion industry is getting stronger.

Significantly, JMFW 2025 has achieved transactions of USD 20.4 million, including from the business matching activities, exceeding the initial target of USD 3 million. A total of 239 brands presented over 1,000 fashion collections with a diversity of rich design combinations or inspiration from the Indonesian local culture and global trends.

The JMFW 2025 presented by Bank Indonesia (BI) plays a role as the road to the highly anticipated Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF) which will be held from 30 October to 3 November 2024 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). On the closing occasion, also held signing the joint statement between L’Adresse Paris Agency and the Islamic Fashion Institute (IFI) and eight local brands which are Shiroshima Indonesia, Jenna and Kaia, Artkea, Party, Khasoe, Adia Lavani, Varyan, and Christin Wu. This signing of the joint statement was facilitated by the Paris Trade Attaché. Another signing agreement followed was a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry with PT. Kreasi Kriya Indonesia.

The closing day of JMFW 2025 highlighted some of Indonesia’s prominent brands, including Irmasari Joedawinata KPw BI Jambi, and Fenny Saptalia from KPw from BI DKI Jakarta, Deden Siswanto for Satoeculture, Gorgeous Indonesia from KPw BI West Java, and Ronald Moreno from KPw BI Riau islands. In collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Finance Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and Bank Indonesia (BI), along with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National Economic Committee and Sharia Finance, Indonesian Textile Association, Indonesian Cosmetics Companies Association, Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC), Islamic Fashion Institute (IFI), and Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ).

The JMFW 2025 is also supported by Wardah, Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), Toyota, Shop Tokopedia, UBS Gold, Avoskin, Viva Cosmetics, Century Textile Industry, Se’Indonesia, You.C1000, Amidis Indonesia, Grab Indonesia, as well as in collaboration with various communities including Hijabersmom Community, Hijabers Community, Kreasi Mode International, and Rahasia Gadis.
