
A traveling around parts of the world exhibition, that invites you to explore the artistry and innovation of Italy’s renowned textile industry through an immersive, interactive experience. The exhibition opens for the public, 10 AM to 4 PM, and will run through 6 December 2024 at Istituto Italiano di Cultura Jakarta.
Divided into six tactile installations, it highlights the expertise of 30 leading Italian companies that embody the country’s legacy in textile quality and advanced technology. Each section reveals a unique facet of Italian production, from luxurious fashion fabrics and home furnishings to high-performance sports fibers and pioneering sustainable yarns. FABRICA showcases the richness of Italian craftsmanship and its forward-thinking approach, celebrating Italy’s status as a world leader in textile design and research.
The project has been imagined by the curators as an itinerary with themed stations designed to highlight the different areas of excellence in Italian industry, from fabric production to machinery, research on technical textiles, and the reduction of the environmental impact of production processes.
The exhibition is designed to be easily set up and transported to various Italian Embassies abroad so that the international public can discover and experience Italian textile excellence through photographic content, videos, tactile elements, and didactic panels.
