MIDTOWN HOTEL SAMARINDA CELEBRATES 8TH ANNIVERSARY WITH POSITIVE IMPACT

The entire team of employees and management at the hotel radiated joy, dressed in traditional Indonesian costumes, as they gathered in the ballroom. The 8th anniversary celebration of Midtown Hotel Samarinda was lively and was graced by the presence of the hotel owner, represented by Mr. Satriono Prasetyo.

The ballroom stage at Midtown Hotel Samarinda showcased a remarkable transformation. That afternoon also served as the official launch of a new modern feature, a splendid 6×3.5m videotron. This addition is anticipated to greatly support business activities. The hotel has become a popular venue for meetings and weddings, particularly with the new screen, which will enhance the experience of wedding festivities, making them more impactful and memorable.

In the preceding week, Midtown Hotel Samarinda organized a series of events that involved all employees and the surrounding community in preparation for its anniversary celebration. The activities began with the Midtown Fun Run, where the entire staff participated in a 2-kilometer run at GOR Kadrie Oening in Samarinda, aimed at enhancing team spirit. The “Desemberbagi” initiative took place in Kampung KB Berseri, within the Bandara area of Samarinda.

This program included the distribution of herbal plants, vegetable seeds, water storage tanks, and various gardening tools to support sustainable healthy living in the city. During the planting of various vegetable seeds with local residents, Imam Mustofa, the General Manager of Midtown Hotel Samarinda, remarked, “Desemberbagi is not just a pre-anniversary celebration; it is our commitment to addressing urban challenges, such as access to nutritious food and green environments. We aspire for this initiative to yield long-term benefits for the Kampung KB Berseri community.”

Midtown Hotel Samarinda is dedicated to supporting communities that engage in constructive activities and play an active role in the city of Samarinda. The initiative known as the Movement to Collect a Piece of Trash – Karang Mumus River (GMSS-SKM) has been the recipient of a donation of life jackets, intended for use during river activities as safety equipment. “Our donation is a manifestation of our concern for the community members who have worked tirelessly to protect and sustain the river area, which is an essential ecosystem in Samarinda. We also look forward to participating in future activities with them,” shared Ikhwan Muja, Human Resources Manager at Midtown Hotel Samarinda.

The array of initiatives carried out by Midtown Hotel Samarinda reflects a sincere appreciation for the loyalty exhibited by its employees. These activities are designed to enhance green practices and raise environmental awareness, while also educating the surrounding community about healthy living through gardening. The hotel further endorses positive community actions and fosters a sense of empathy through blood donation drives. “We aim to develop a supportive ecosystem that connects the corporate environment with the community at large,” concluded Imam Mustofa, General Manager of Midtown Hotel Samarinda.
