Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Gojek, one of Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand multi-service platforms, announced their first-ever strategic collaboration. Aimed at enhancing the travel experience for Indonesian visitors to Singapore, the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed by Juliana Kua, Assistant Chief Executive, International Group, STB, and Shobhit Singhal, Chief Operating Officer, Gojek, at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.
The collaboration combines Gojek’s extensive Indonesian user base and strong brand recognition with Singapore’s diverse tourism offerings. It aims to showcase Singapore as a destination where Indonesian travelers can make the most of every moment with their loved ones—a compact and vibrant city with numerous attractions that they can easily explore through Gojek services.
Ensuring seamless and convenient journeys with Gojek’s GoCar services, which operate at 17 airports across the country, and enabling travelers to explore Singapore with local taxi services. Travelers can select from four different types; regular GoCar, GoCar XL, GoCar Comfort, and GoCar Luxe. For all trips to and from the airport, Gojek also provides special discounts with the GOBANDARA and GOAIRPORT voucher codes.
The collaboration comes as Singapore sees continued growth in tourism from Indonesia. From January to November 2024, Singapore welcomed 2.22 million Indonesian visitors, an 8.1% year-on-year increase. Indonesia ranks as the second-largest source of international visitors to Singapore and remains the largest from Southeast Asia.
The STB-Gojek collaboration will encourage Indonesian visitors to go beyond the city center to explore lesser-known precincts, such as the local flavors of Katong and Joo Chiat, the natural beauty of Mandai, and the hidden charms of Changi. By leveraging Gojek’s technology and STB’s insights, the collaboration will offer seamless travel solutions and special promotions for Indonesian travelers. This includes an interactive microsite showcasing off-the-beaten-track locations, which users can visit using special promo codes through the Gojek app in Singapore.
Singapore’s appeal to Indonesian travelers includes its diverse attractions for all ages, vibrant events calendar, Muslim-friendly facilities, and proximity to Indonesia. The collaboration between STB and Gojek aims to enhance these advantages to ensure that Indonesian visitors get the most out of their holidays with their loved ones.
