MUFFEST+ ROAD TO IN2MOTIONFEST 2025 – A DECADE MILESTONE IN SUPPORTING THE GLOBAL GROWTH OF THE INDONESIAN MUSLIM FASHION INDUSTRY

The 10th year of Indonesia’s biggest modest fashion festival, MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2025, was successfully held from 20-23 February 2025 at Hall A, Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC).

In its 10th anniversary, MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2025 highlighted “Connecting in Style” as a theme, which aimed to celebrate friendship and solidarity through shared experiences within the Indonesian modest fashion industry. This theme depicted a unique blend of urban lifestyle and Indonesia’s cultural diversity, thus creating a strong identity within the Muslim fashion community.

MUFFEST+ also showcased the diversity of Indonesian modest fashion styles ranging from streetwear, urban and contemporary style, and evening wear to syar’i, by applying the concept of sustainability as a focus to get on the world stage and put Indonesia as one of the world’s modest fashion centers.MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2025 was officiated by Reni Yanita – Director General of Small and Medium Industries of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Ita Rulina – Executive Director of the Sharia Economic and Finance Department of Bank Indonesia, Lenny Agustin – National Chair of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC), and Irvan Mahidin – CEO of PT. Gemalindo Kreasi Indonesia.

The four-day festival featured numerous exhibitions and fashion runways covering over 130 modest fashion brands and designers ranging from textile products to ready-to-wear Muslim clothing and accessories, beauty, aesthetics and cosmetics, halal lifestyle products, to food and beverage.

The opening ceremony showcased collections from IKRA Indonesia members who highlighted a diversity of premium wastra from various regions in Indonesia, namely Rose.Ma.Lina, member of IKRA Indonesia DKI Jakarta; Laili Imra, member of IKRA Indonesia Riau; Lusi Damai, member of IKRA Indonesia Bali; Silla Dawilah, member of IKRA Indonesia Malang; Sogan Batik Rejodani, member of IKRA Indonesia DIY, as well as guest designers Ayu Dyah Andari and Dian Pelangi. IKRA Indonesia is a program to nurture the modest fashion industry by strengthening business actors, products, and promotions.

Other IKRA Indonesia collections also featured at MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2025, namely BorNeo x Salwa Salsabilla, members of IKRA Indonesia West Kalimantan; Sofie, member of IKRA Indonesia DIY; Karina Rozy, member of IKRA Indonesia Riau islands; Southeast Sulawesi x Tia Hidayat x Jullie Kaimuddin; Vonna Nunucolla, member of IKRA Indonesia Lhokseumawe; Nikhol, member of IKRA Indonesia Banten; as well as guest designers from KLAMBY and Restu Anggraini.

Wardah Beauty has been the Official Makeup partner since the first MUFFEST+, this year presented “Winning Steps for Kindness”, a runway experience that celebrates women’s journey in discovering and expressing themselves, in four different personas. Wardah collaborated with four Indonesian designers and brands, namely Nawasana, Kienka, ⁠Cottonink Studio, Muda, and ⁠Rasya Shakira.

The closing ceremony of MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2025 also featured a collections parade from SOFIE, Irna La Perle x Sausan, Wilsen Willim, REBORN29 x IKRA Lhokseumawe, FFF by FERRY x Central Sulawesi, kami., JENNA&KAIA, BRILIANTO, and Ivan Gunawan for Zeta Prive.

MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2025 was held with the support from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as collaboration with Wardah Beauty as the Official Makeup partner and Skincare, also supported by Somerset Berlian Jakarta, Mountoya, Youc1000, and Community Partners: JAMKRINDO, Hijabers Mom Community, and IKA UNDIP Jakarta.
