The new Moscow Fashion Week F/W 25/26 in Russia was recently held at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall and ran from 13-18 March 2025. This year successfully showcased 180 designers’ collection runways from parts of the world, including Russia, Indonesia, China, India, Spain, South Africa, and more. Syukriah Rusydi, designer and brand owner of REBORN29, an emerging fashion brand from Indonesia decided to participate in the Moscow Fashion Week based on a recommendation by Ali Charisma, Advisory Board of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC).
As the only Indonesian designer participant in this event, REBORN29 showcased Indonesian cultural identity through various designs that combine traditional techniques such as ‘Badui‘ weaving and sustainable fabric manipulation with classic elegance and art of beat style. The Russian market is increasingly open and potential to designs not only aesthetically pleasing but environmentally friendly. In addition, this participation in Moscow Fashion Week creates more awareness of the Indonesian fashion industry in the Russian and Eastern European markets, as well as fosters collaboration with local buyers, distributors, and retailers. With the increasing demand and trend to sustainable fashion, the REBORN29’s collection can compete and be well-received by the Russian market.
REBORN29’s latest Fall/Winter collection, titled The Whisper of Grace, is a work inspired by the gracefulness of dandelions and the profound philosophy behind their journey. The dandelion gracefully surrenders its seeds to the wind, symbolizing the courage to let go, trust in destiny, and continue to spread hope amidst uncertainty. This philosophy is embodied in every detail of The Whisper of Grace collection and combines elegant silhouettes with the power of nature’s stories.
The collection features classic A-line and H-line silhouettes, designed for comfort and modern style that suits the needs of active women. Autumn colors such as grey, black, army green, and brown create a calm yet meaningful palette, reflecting the color of nature’s transition from fall to winter. Eco-friendly materials such as cotton, traditional ‘Badui’ weaving, and recycled tulle are the icons, in line with REBORN29’s commitment to sustainability. Fabric manipulation in the form of pom-poms resembling flying dandelion seeds provides a unique artistic touch and multifunctional designs that ensure each piece can be worn from morning to evening, from office to special event, being stylish on all occasions.
