SOMERSET BERLIAN JAKARTA CHAMPIONS SUSTAINABLE LIVING THROUGH STYLE AND PURPOSE

In a meaningful move toward greener living, Somerset Berlian Jakarta has launched its “Sustainably Living” program in collaboration with Klinko Indonesia, a creative initiative focused on textile recycling.

Under the inspiring tagline “Donate Your Clothes, Keep the Earth in Bloom,” the program invites guests and the local community to transform preloved garments into recycled yarns and fabrics, which are then crafted into functional and aesthetically pleasing products.

Among the program’s standout creations is a stylish sling bag, perfect for daily wear, blending style, affordability, and quality. “With this initiative, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of reducing textile waste and encourage people to embrace the value of upcycled goods,” said Budhi Sanjaya, General Manager of Somerset Berlian Jakarta.

But the program goes beyond environmental preservation. It’s a bold step toward a circular economy, creating new job opportunities and empowering local artisans to produce handcrafted items with real utility and market value.

Guests can explore and shop the collection at a dedicated corner in the hotel lobby, where they’re also encouraged to donate gently used clothing. From eco-chic tote bags to accessories with a local touch, each item reflects a blend of purpose, artistry, and style, proving sustainability can look as good as it feels.
