JAVA CRIOLLO DEBUTS AT PULLMAN JAKARTA, SPOTLIGHTING ETHICAL INDONESIAN CACAO AND CULTURAL COLLABORATION

In celebration of World Chocolate Day 2025, Pullman Jakarta Indonesia partnered with artisan chocolatier Cokelatin Signature to unveil Java Criollo, an exclusive chocolate beverage inspired by the rare Criollo cacao variety. The launch event, held at Le Chocolat Lounge on Friday, July 25th, welcomed distinguished guests including H.E. Luis Guillermo Arellano Jibaja, Ambassador of Ecuador to Indonesia.

The highlight of the day was an engaging talk show titled “Crafting Legacy: How Chocolate Builds Culture, Diplomacy and Creative Economy,” moderated by cultural activist Arto Biantoro. The panel explored chocolate’s role as a cultural bridge, drawing parallels between Ecuador’s Nacional cacao heritage and Indonesia’s emerging Java Criollo movement.

Ambassador Arellano emphasized cacao’s potential in fostering international cooperation, while Mrs. Irena Surosoputra, Founder & CEO of Cokelatin Signature, shared her vision of chocolate as a medium for storytelling, sustainability, and national pride.

Guests were treated to the first taste of Java Criollo, a rich, aromatic beverage crafted from ethically sourced Indonesian Criollo cacao. Available exclusively at Le Chocolat Lounge, the drink reflects Indonesia’s terroir through flavor, aroma, and artistry.

The event also featured a wellness journaling session led by psychologist Anette Isabella, blending cacao with mindfulness and self-love. A networking session closed the evening, inviting guests to savor the cultural and emotional richness of fine chocolate.

Java Criollo is now available for a limited time at Le Chocolat Lounge, Pullman Jakarta Indonesia.
