
Set against the lush backdrop of The Gaia Hotel Bandung amphitheatre, Gaia Music Festival 2025 returned with the theme “For The Love of Music”, offering an intimate music experience that beautifully blended live jazz performances with the serenity of nature.
Day one opened with a captivating set by Guernica Quartet, followed by Sökhi’s jazz performance at the Endless Stage, surrounded by verdant trees. Arumtala brought a playful twist with their hit “Gagal Diet”, engaging the crowd in a singalong that showcased the festival’s genre diversity. The legendary jazz trio Trisum, featuring Tohpati, Dewa Budjana, and Balawan, delivered a dynamic set, including a reimagined version of the East Javanese folk song “Cubla-Cublak Suweng.” The evening culminated with Yura Yunita’s live performance, featuring hits like “Bandung,” “Tutur Batin,” and her latest single “Tanda”, all infused with fresh jazz arrangements.
Day two continued the magic with Jordan Susanto’s energetic set, followed by Song Brothers’ experimental jazz trio, creating a warm, communal vibe under the Bandung sky. The Aartsen family, seasoned performers across continents, added a global flair with their distinctive style. The night peaked with Tulus live on stage, captivating the audience with heartfelt renditions of “Sewindu,” “Sepatu,” and more, blending storytelling with melody in a deeply personal way.
Gaia Music Festival 2025 stood out not just for its Indonesian music lineup, but for its commitment to intimate concert experiences.
