ARTMOMENTS JAKARTA 2025 UNVEILS A BOLD NEW CHAPTER AT AGORA EXHIBITION HALL

One of the most anticipated cultural events in Indonesia, ArtMoments Jakarta 2025 returns with renewed vigor, a compelling theme, and a striking new venue. The fair welcomes VIP guests on 7 August 2025, followed by public access from 8–10 August 2025 at the AGORA Exhibition Hall, Jakarta’s newest destination for art, culture, and innovation.

This move marks a defining moment in the fair’s evolution, signaling a shift toward deeper public engagement and expanded artistic dialogue. Led by Sendy Widjaja, Co-Founder and Fair Director, the event embraces the theme “Restoration”, responding to a global yearning for reconnection, shared humanity, and transformative art experiences.

The 2025 edition features 57 galleries and over 600 artists from Indonesia and around the world. A major highlight includes a tribute to Indonesian modern art pioneers: Sudjana Kerton, Ahmad Sadali, S. Sudjojono, and Fadjar Sidik, celebrating the nation’s artistic legacy.

In partnership with Yayasan Mitra Museum Jakarta and Save the Children, ArtMoments strengthens its mission to support the community and create lasting cultural impact. The fair opens with remarks from distinguished speakers and a powerful performance by Arahmaini, a pioneer in Southeast Asia’s contemporary performance art, known for exploring gender, power, and social justice.

A standout exhibition, NUDE: Sex, Gender & Eroticism in Indonesian Art, curated by Natasha Doroshenko Murray, presents a bold, cross-generational examination of the unclothed body in Indonesian visual culture. Under the curatorial direction of Sujud Dartanto, the fair honors tradition while celebrating artistic innovation.

Also debuting is “The Night the Stars Went Missing”, a children’s book by Adam Handler, launched during the fair’s opening program. The event includes Converse Moments and Makers Moments, intimate forums fostering dialogue between artists, collectors, curators, and the public.

ArtMoments Jakarta 2025 is more than an exhibition, it’s a vibrant convergence of art, culture, and community impact. From thought-provoking installations to inclusive forums and accessible art ownership, the fair invites everyone to be part of a movement that restores, reimagines, and reconnects.
