To honor the spirit of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day, Mercure Serpong Alam Sutera presents Pasar Budaya UMKM, a five-day cultural celebration spotlighting local heritage, culinary delights, and creative small businesses. From 18–22 August 2025, the hotel’s Prefunction Area transforms into a vibrant marketplace where families and culture enthusiasts can immerse themselves in Indonesian traditions, enjoy interactive activities, and support UMKM Tangerang Selatan artisans, all in one festive setting.
The highlight of the event is the Pasar Budaya UMKM, featuring 30 curated UMKM Tangerang Selatan vendors offering handcrafted products, local delicacies, and creative crafts. Guests can explore the richness of Indonesian culture through a series of engaging activities, including a fashion show of traditional attire for children in collaboration with Griya Elok Butik, and traditional dance classes led by Mustika Ayu Dance Studio.
The fashion show competition brings together young talents dressed in regional costumes, judged by representatives from Abang Nona Kota Tangerang Selatan and local fashion experts. Meanwhile, the dance workshops provide a joyful space for children to connect with their roots and learn the beauty of Indonesian performing arts.
“Celebrating independence is more than ceremony, it’s about supporting local communities, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering unity,” said Jessica Uekermann, General Manager of Mercure Serpong Alam Sutera.
This event is open to the public and designed to be a meaningful celebration for all ages. For updates and registration, follow @mercurealamsutera on Instagram and @mercureserpongalamsutera on TikTok.
