UNLOCKING GROWTH, CONNECTING CULTURES AND CREATING SALES – AN EXCLUSIVE FORUM BY THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL

An exclusive gathering initiated by Thai Airways International (THAI), in conjunction with the resumption of a double-daily flight from Jakarta to Milan, was held on 9 September 2025 at Pullman Jakarta Indonesia.

It brought together top travel agents, partners, and industry leaders from Italy and Indonesia for a joint focused discussion themed, “Unlocking Growth, Connecting Cultures and Creating Sales“, with a line-up of speakers including Emmer Guerra (Destination Director of Glamour Tour Operator), Silvia Catucci (Product Manager of GoAsia), Agostino Tura (Product Manager of Mosaico Tour Operator), Loredana Santinelli (Product Manager of Idee Per Viaggiare), and Carolin Mintje (Sales Supervisor THAI Indonesia).

An insightful forum exploring collaboration and opportunities across cultures from various industries on how to provide holiday packages and offer better experiences for the Italian, Thai, Indonesian, and other international markets, specifically travelers flying the route Jakarta – Bangkok – Milan, now available with a double-daily route. Also introducing the comfort of flying with THAI, long-haul in Business Class, where limited edition amenities specially curated by the Queen of Thailand are available until December 2025, exclusively provided on flights to Milan, Paris, and Japan.

On this occasion, the guest speakers shared insights on opportunities for travelers to explore other Indonesian destinations, not only Bali, such as Jogjakarta, Banyuwangi, Sumba, Raja Ampat, Karimun Jawa, and many others. They also shared insights on traveler behavior. Typically, travelers from Italy come to Indonesia, with the main destination being Bali, which offers vast points of interest – beautiful nature, tropical jungle, islands & wildlife – suitable for solo & family travelers, safe to visit, and with various accommodation options. These travelers generally spend 2 weeks on holiday, with the best travel period between May and October.

Here comes the role of THAI and other airline partners in connecting international and inter-city destinations for a seamless journey, captivating and allowing travelers to explore Indonesia’s authenticity of rich cultures, heritage, local markets, culinary, and immersive experiences. As a world-class, prominent airline provider, THAI sets strategies to support the partnership, including providing competitive fares, creating incentives for bookers, and fostering cross-partnerships with domestic airlines, travel agents, tour operators, and other stakeholders.

A grand prize ticket flight for one to Milan and return was announced and won by an agent partner.
