Honing over 25 years of distinguished experience in luxury hospitality, Sumit brings a rich career journey spanning various world-class hotels, resorts, and residences to the property.
Sumit began his career with The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where over two decades he grew through various leadership roles, including serving as a trainer at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, nurturing young talent who are today leaders in the industry. He went on to hold General Manager roles in both resort and city properties, mastering the art of balancing destination experiences with urban sophistication.
His expertise also extended into the world of luxury residences, where he led operations with The Lodha Group, shaping hospitality-driven living experiences in India’s most prestigious residential developments. Most recently, Sumit served as General Manager of JW Marriott Jakarta, leading one of the city’s flagship hotels with a focus on innovation, service culture, and guest engagement. As well as ensuring to build meaningful relationships and interactions with guests during their entire journey to creating memorable and personalized experiences, which leads to fostering loyalty and repeat business.
