In honor of National Batik Day, Ascott Indonesia’s Jakarta, Bogor, and Bekasi properties united for “Discover Batik Indonesia,” a vibrant cultural showcase held at Atrium Carnival, Cibinong City Mall on October 18–19, 2025. The two-day event drew over 1,000 attendees, blending fashion, tradition, and community spirit.
More than 30 properties under Ascott, Citadines, Somerset, Oakwood, Harris, FOX, YELLO, POP!, and Pesona Alam participated, spotlighting Indonesia’s rich batik legacy. Guests explored regional batik motifs through fashion shows, traditional dance, live music, workshops, and talk shows. Local UMKM artisans proudly presented their handcrafted textiles, each pattern telling stories of identity and creativity.
Government representatives and Ascott’s leadership team joined the festivities, reinforcing the event’s cultural significance. Tri Yuniarti, Director of Partnership, Loyalty & Activation, emphasized batik’s role as “an expression of culture, craftsmanship, and national pride,” aligning with Ascott CARES’ pillars: Community, Alliance, Respect, Environment, and Supply Chain.
“Discover Batik Indonesia” not only celebrated heritage but also empowered local artisans and inclusive communities. Collaborators included Diffable Action Indonesia, Kampung Batik Cibuluh, Batik Geulis Handayani, and Mojang Jajaka Kabupaten Bogor, alongside media and brand partners.
This initiative reflects Ascott’s commitment to sustainability and meaningful guest experiences. By weaving tradition into hospitality, Ascott continues to elevate Indonesia’s timeless artistry on a global stage.
