ASHLEY HOTEL GROUP AND EKRAF LAUNCH “PASAR SENI BERMAIN” TO SPOTLIGHT INDONESIA’S CREATIVE GAME INDUSTRY

Ashley Hotel Group, in partnership with Indonesia’s Ministry of Creative Economy (EKRAF), has officially launched “Pasar Seni Bermain,” a three-day initiative celebrating local digital creativity.

Held from October 22–24, 2025, the event introduces Indonesian-developed PlayStation 5 games into Ashley Hotels’ Family Rooms, offering guests a fresh, culturally immersive experience.

The launch ceremony was attended by EKRAF Deputy Minister Irene Umar, Sekretariat representative Dessy Ruhati, and Ashley Hotel Group’s Director of Operations Ade Noerwenda. A signed Memorandum of Understanding formalized their shared commitment to supporting Indonesia’s creative economy, particularly the gaming sector.

Four locally produced PS5 titles are now available for guests to play:

  • Petit Island – a tropical open-world exploration game
  • Gigapocalypse – a pixel-art action game featuring giant monsters
  • Kitaria Fables – an RPG with farming and crafting elements
  • Knight vs Giant: The Broken Excalibur – a roguelite fantasy adventure

These games are installed in 6 Thematic Family Rooms at Ashley Tanah Abang and 9 Family Loft Rooms at Ashley Tugu Tani. The initiative aims to enrich family stays while showcasing Indonesia’s emerging game development talent.

Beyond gaming, Pasar Seni Bermain features a curated lineup of programs, including:

  • A talk show on “Meaningful Play” with mental health practitioners and board game communities
  • A panel discussion on hospitality innovation and creativity
  • Board game sessions hosted by APIBGI
  • Live acoustic performances each evening

The event also highlights over 30 local SMEs through interactive booths, offering handcrafted goods, creative merchandise, and authentic Indonesian culinary specialties.

A hotel should be more than a place to sleep—it should be a space for creativity and connection,” said Noerwenda.

With Pasar Seni Bermain, Ashley Hotel Group redefines the guest experience, merging leisure, local culture, and digital storytelling in a way that feels fresh, family-friendly, and distinctly Indonesian.
