This Halloween, Gran Meliá Jakarta embraces the spirit of creativity and celebration through a series of special events and experiences designed for guests of all ages. From enchanting art sessions to a mysterious cocktail creation, the hotel brings together artistry, imagination, and a touch of sophistication to mark this festive occasion.
The highlight of the season is the Black Widow, an exclusive Halloween cocktail crafted by Gran Meliá Jakarta’s talented mixology team. Bold, elegant, and full of intrigue, this captivating creation combines black sesame sous-vide vodka, lychee liqueur (20ml), and Martini Blanco high proof with the earthy balance of mungbean shrub. A few drops of squid ink give the cocktail its alluring jet-black hue, symbolizing mystery and elegance in equal measure. Priced at IDR 165,000++ per glass, the Black Widow is available throughout October at Lobby Lounge, Café Gran Via, Tien Chao, Yoshi Izakaya, and Chillin’ Pool Bar, with the exception of ERRE & Urrechu.
Adding a creative twist to the celebration, Gran Meliá Jakarta also hosted two interactive art activities on 25 October 2025 at the Lobby Lounge. The first, a tote bag painting workshop in collaboration with Butterfly, a pencil color & stationary brand, welcomed 17 enthusiastic children aged 5 to 12 years dressed in charming Halloween costumes. With brushes in hand, the young artists brought their imagination to life, turning blank tote bags into colorful works of art to take home as festive keepsakes.
For adults, the acrylic painting class offered a more tranquil yet inspiring experience, drawing inspiration from Vincent van Gogh’s timeless masterpiece, Starry Night. Guided by an instructor, 12 participants enjoyed a relaxing creative session accompanied by light refreshments, expressing their artistic spirit while connecting with fellow guests in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
