Purana 16 Years: A Tapestry of Nature & Culture exhibition runs from 23–25 October 2025 at Cikini82, Central Jakarta.
Marking its 16-year journey, Purana presents a retrospective and immersive exhibition that encapsulates cultural archives, collaborations, and innovations in Indonesian textiles, bringing together the past, present, and future.
Nonita Respati, Founder and Creative Director of Purana, said, “With Cikini82 as the exhibition venue, its history and contrast with Jakarta’s modern landscape reflect the spirit of Purana. It perfectly represents our philosophy: honoring the past (heritage) while looking toward the future (contemporary design).”
The exhibition is divided into three chapters, each of which is a testament to the consistency and evolution of Purana’s DNA. Immersive in nature, the exhibition provides a multi-sensory experience for visitors. Inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of each scene or chapter. Purana Lettermax logo greets visitors at the entrance, designed by Arief Susanto, founder of DUS DUK DUK, known for his cardboard works. Purana’s collaboration with DUS DUK DUK aligns with Purana’s commitment to a circular economy, where installations can be further recycled.
Then the journeys start:
Chapter I: PUSAKA (2009 – 2021) – Community Roots and Crafts
The Pusaka Room, with its sepia tones and the faint sound of gamelan music, is where visitors can print batik using stamps from the Purana archives. This room displays
an installation of batik scrolls with iconic patterns, along with a spice-themed corner and samples traditional drinks at the “Art of Jamu” bar.

Chapter II: TITIAN (2022 – 2025) – Metamorphosis of Art, Nature, and Collaboration
The Titian Room features the work of Hanafi Kurniawan Sidhartha (HKSIDH/Rembol), an artist and protégé of maestro Nasirun, in the form of a modern shadow puppet theater installation with a flora and fauna theme. This theme aligns with the overall feel of the room, which is an Indonesian rainforest composed of cardboard boxes by DUS DUK DUK. In the center of the “rainforest” installation stands the modern “Elixir” Bar, presented by Herbana, serving mocktails and refreshing herbal drinks.

Chapter III: LANGGENG (2025 & Beyond) – Sustainability, Home & Living, and Architecture
Langgeng embodies Purana’s long-term vision to transform Beyond the Brand into a lifestyle. Here, Purana showcases two new lines: Purana Home & Living and Puragraph. “Purana Home & Living enables consumers to integrate the beauty of textiles into their personal spaces, transforming their homes into cultural canvases,” said Nonita. A wide range of collections includes tablecloths and runners, pillowcases, and bedding accessories, while its tableware is in collaboration with Sango Ceramics.

Still at Langgeng, Puragraph, inspired by traditional Indonesian architecture, showcases shirts and outerwear whose designs reflect the architecture of traditional Joglo houses. Puragraph will continue to explore Indonesia’s architectural heritage to create designs relevant to young-at-heart fashion enthusiasts.
Adding to the excitement of the milestone celebration, Purana also presents the Spring/Summer Trunk Show, whose collection is adorned with Birds of Paradise and Jungle Jewel motifs, accented with batik in a diverse color palette.
Purana products are available through the official website and e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, as well as in official stores across Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
