A NEW SHOPPING EXPERIENCE UNVEILS: MU+KU PRESENTS A CURATED COLLECTION OF LOCAL AND GLOBAL BRANDS, A SHARED SPACE TO CELEBRATE YOUR STYLE

In the center of a vibrant fashion and lifestyle scene, where trends are evolving, MU+KU officially opened its first store at Plaza Blok M, South Jakarta, on 11 November 2025.

As a style hub, MU+KU presents a carefully curated mix of local and global brands. The name MU+KU is derived from the meaning “You and Me” in Bahasa, which reflects the simple idea that style is like a shared experience. The opening ceremony of MU+KU’s first store was also enlivened by special performances by Marion Jola and Maliq & D’essentials, presenting an energetic mix of music and performances.

MU+KU introduces a fresh and new retail concept that connects customers with local brands and distinctive fashion choices. At MU+KU, there’s always something new to explore, from exclusive collections and the latest trends, including the surely not-to-be-missed limited-edition items.

Strategically located on the 3rd to 5th floors at Plaza Blok M, MU+KU is thoughtfully designed for everyone – women and men, Gen Z and young millennials, professionals and families. The Ladies Area on the 3rd floor features chic fashion, modest wear, underwear, sleepwear, shoes, and beauty products. Meanwhile, the Men’s Area on the 4th floor offers a wide selection of denim, streetwear, activewear, and casual everyday wear. The Children & Travel Area on the 5th floor offers a collection of children’s clothing and practical travel gear suitable for various purposes and occasions.

Enhancing its appeal, MU+KU features a Communal Space, an area where visitors can explore a variety of local brands, both emerging and well-known. Furthermore, there’s also an Experience Zone, where visitors can enjoy a variety of special services that make the shopping experience more personalized and memorable, such as custom lifestyle products, a skin analyzer, and an activewear & padel area.

Through MU+KU, we want to bring fashion closer and more accessible to everyone. Not only a shopping destination, we want customers to find MU+KU a comfortable space to encourage them to explore their style, also inviting visitors to explore more local brands and creative works,” said Rama Ishwara, Marketing & Brand Development Director, Matahari.

MU+KU features over 150 brands, approximately 75% of which are local, showcasing the diversity and creativity of the Indonesian fashion industry. MU+KU is also proud to introduce some new local brands such as SAVRO, KHA, BYRCH & CO, Na-Young, SIRA, and She’sense.
