Golden Rama proudly presents EXTRA – Experience Travel 2025, now entering its third edition. This year’s event will be held simultaneously from 21–23 November 2025 across five major cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Makassar, and Denpasar.
With the theme “Because You Are EXTRA,” the exhibition continues to strengthen its identity as an inspiring travel showcase—serving as a barometer of Indonesian travelers’ growing sophistication in planning curated, authentic journeys aligned with global trends that will shape 2026.
“EXTRA is not just a place to discover holiday ideas, but a space to understand how global travel trends evolve and how journeys can be designed more personally,” said Madu Sudono, President Director of Golden Rama Tours & Travel. “Indonesian travelers are now more value-conscious, seeking local uniqueness and authentic experiences.”
EXTRA 2025 highlights four major shifts in travel preferences. Authentic experiences are increasingly prioritized, with culinary, art, cultural, and wellness retreats gaining popularity. Group tours are making a comeback, particularly to Europe, Korea, China, and Russia. Cruise travel is rising significantly among families and couples who embrace slow travel. Meanwhile, premium travel is marked by careful planning, leveraging bank rewards, long-term installments, and travel vouchers. According to Ricky Hilton, GM of Communication & CRM, these dynamics reflect travelers’ growing maturity: “Interest in winter travel, cruises, and multi-country itineraries shows that Indonesian travelers want curated journeys—meaningful experiences beyond destinations.”
Looking ahead to 2026, travel is expected to become more frequent, personal, and meaningful. The Skyscanner Travel Trends 2026 report notes that 84% of global travelers plan to travel the same or more than last year, with motivations shifting toward self-care, cultural immersion, and deeper discovery. A standout trend is the “Altitude Shift,” with 76% of travelers drawn to mountains as retreats for clean air, tranquility, and mental reset. Reflecting this, EXTRA 2025 showcases alpine destinations such as the Dolomites in northern Italy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for dramatic valleys, limestone cliffs, and serene alpine villages. The Dolomites embody slow-mountain travel—trekking, wellness lodges, Ladin cuisine, and breathtaking golden-hour views.
In Jakarta, EXTRA at Lippo Mall Puri drew strong interest in long-haul, winter, and multi-country tours. Visitors arrived with well-prepared plans, from cross-country European routes to thematic culinary and sports itineraries. Exclusive offers included curated group tours to China, Korea, Europe, and Russia, alongside special packages to Dubai and Hong Kong. Cruise promotions featured Buy 2 Get 4 and discounts up to 60%, while hotel and flight deals, vouchers, and insurance packages added further value.
With events across five cities and support from 34 industry partners—including Hong Kong Tourism Board, Dubai Tourism Board, and Royal Caribbean—EXTRA 2025 marks a milestone in Indonesia’s travel landscape. By combining curated packages, global partnerships, and authentic inspiration, Golden Rama reaffirms its role as a pioneer in delivering relevant, inspiring travel experiences for Indonesian society.
