United Tractors Group is turning its energy transition commitments into tangible action. At the Besai Kemu run‑of‑river mini hydro plant in Way Kanan, Lampung, the company invited media partners to witness how renewable infrastructure is reshaping Indonesia’s energy landscape.

With a capacity of 2 × 3.5 MW and annual generation of 33.4 GWh, Besai Kemu delivers clean electricity equivalent to powering 16,000–22,000 households. More than numbers, the facility embodies United Tractors’ ESG agenda: reducing carbon emissions, strengthening regional energy resilience, and ensuring that sustainability is embedded in both operations and community engagement.

Director of PT Energia Prima Nusantara, Boy Gemino Kalauserang emphasize that energy transition is not an abstract concept—it’s happening right there, with real benefits for the people and the planet. Through subsidiaries EPN and UEP, United Tractors is expanding a portfolio that spans hydro, solar, geothermal, and hybrid microgrid solutions. Each project is designed to align with Indonesia’s clean energy mix targets while advancing the Group’s long‑term sustainability roadmap. Asep Iwan Gunawan, President Director of UEP also added that by engaging communities, the company ensures that the transition strengthens local economies and protects the environment.

The visit highlighted not only technology but also stewardship. Alongside tours of the plant, journalists joined tree‑planting activities and the distribution of 100 fruit tree seedlings—mango and durian—to local residents. These gestures reflect United Tractors’ belief that renewable energy must generate shared value, supporting livelihoods while preserving ecosystems. The Besai Kemu initiative underscores United Tractors’ conviction that ESG is not a box‑ticking exercise but a growth strategy—one that positions the Group as a catalyst for Indonesia’s low‑carbon future.
