Coinciding with the exhibition Agus Suwage: The Theater of Me, Museum MACAN and Common Grounds, a national coffee shop brand that provides premium coffee, launched a creative partnership with a kick-off the opening of Common Grounds pop-up cafe inside the Museum in May 2022, which has been receiving warm welcome from the visitors.
Moreover, the creative partnership is extended to all 11 Common Grounds outlets for customers to see Agus Suwage: The Theater of Me promotions in the forms of posters, coffee cup sleeves, placemats, as well as ticket discounts for Common Grounds customers.
One special project to celebrate the museum’s current exhibition, Common Grounds creates a pastry inspired by Agus Suwage with the help and input from the artist. Agus Suwage enjoys food, and he particularly loves corn ever since childhood. A Salted Caramel Popcorn soft cookie then created, it is filled with caramel popcorn, miso caramel, and hazelnut, topped with a skull-shaped brown sugar cookie inspired by Agus Suwage’s works which often features skulls. This special menu will be available at Common Grounds outlets in Museum MACAN, starting from 24 August 2022.
Additionally, Common Grounds customers can also bring the cup sleeve to the museum and redeem it for a special priced exhibition ticket. This promotion is valid only for on-site ticket bookings (at ticketing counter on level 2 Museum MACAN) until the exhibition ends on 15 October 2022.
