Started as one of their CSR programs, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) through the UT Karya Bakti Foundation (YKBUT) has just held the National Graduation ceremony of the 33rd batch of UT School throughout Indonesia. The event took place at the Grand Ballroom UT Head Office in Cakung, Jakarta and joined virtually with the other UT School learning locations in 18 other cities around the country. Leading the ceremony was UT Human Capital & Sustainability Director, Edhie Sarwono, who on the occasion expressed that the event was held as a form of appreciation and motivation for students to work and a sense of pride for graduates who have completed their education.

UT School began as a way to acquire fresh and promising young professionals within UT’s business scope to work in and support the company as well as partners’ companies. Now, UT School has developed a program to produce quality graduates with cognitive, mental, and balanced skills according to the needs of the business world and industry. Director Edhie Sarwono said that UT School will continue to strive to provide the best education for Indonesian children to build quality human resources (HR) in a sustainable manner. This is a form of the Company’s implementation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. Through the program that UT School runs, UT hopes to be able to improve the national economy with their human resources development which can later contribute to the progress of the nation.

At this year’s graduation, UT School has successfully graduated 316 alumni (out of 38,567 students since the inception of the program) of the mechanic’s class. The UT School program is designed very comprehensively, tailored to the needs of the Business World and Industry (DUDI). This event is also the source of good news as UT also announced that the best students and graduates will obtain the opportunity to continue their education to college level through a scholarship program at ASTRAtech. A total of 59 alumni have successfully participated in Technical Internship Training at 23 UD Trucks dealer locations in Japan, 4 UT School alumni have passed to work at Isuzu Japan, and 40 alumni work at Tadano Japan.

UT School was established in 2008, which has a vision to become the best educational institution for mechanical skills and heavy equipment operators in the world. In 2024, UT School has 22 branch points and targets its branches to be spread more evenly throughout Indonesia.
