For a very limited time, fashion designer Stella Rissa and her eponymous fashion house STELLARISSA presents “Freedom”, a multidisciplinary exhibition at D’ Gallerie, Jakarta, from June 4th to the 7th, 2026.

The exhibition invites the public to look into the contemporary world of STELLARISSA presented in collaboration with artist Galuh Anindita of MAHIJA , renowned photographer Indra Leonardi, and visual director Reuben Tourino and artist Asmara Abigail who contributed their own interpretations of “Freedom”.

STELLARISSA’s team of designers presented eight pieces that reimagine and transcend convention, embracing a more instinctive and  personal interpretation of femininity, identity, and self – expression. In these pieces, material becomes a centralizing language in support of this vision. Organdy, lace, tulle, and duchess satin thoughtfully layered and reworked through intricate manipulation, meticulous work by hand.

Inspired by her travels and visits to museums and exhibitions in other parts of the world, STELLARISSA wants to make the exhibition as accessible and informative as possible; with detailed maps and explanations of the pieces.  “I want to invite people from different backgrounds to get a look into our world; not just the fashion industry. I think it is important for artists to create spaces where cross-discipline discussions can happen”, Stella explained.

Visitors to the exhibition will be first greeted by Indra Leonardi’s work, titled WED | 31.07.2024 | 08 that is part of his “365” photo series that are captured daily over the course of a year. Next, a short film project collaboration “FREEDOM” between Stella Rissa, Asmara Abigail, and Ruben Torino, a the film embraces movement as the rawest, most honest expression of emotional freedom.

The installation unfolds as a collective reflection on freedom. Through photography, film, jewelry, artisanal  craftsmanship, and music, each collaborator interprets the theme through their own medium and perspective.

Rather than existing as separate works, these expressions converge within a shared landscape — where fashion  enters into dialogue with image, movement, sound, and object. Together, they create an immersive experience that explores freedom not as a singular idea, but as a multitude of personal truths, inviting visitors to  encounter different expressions of identity and transformation.
