What's a typical Sunday morning in Jakarta like? Do you sleep in, to recuperate and recharge from a long week battling with the city, cooking breakfast with the family, exercising on Car Free Sunday, a yoga session, or a combination of all that?
As one of Jakarta's premium business hotels located in Sudirman, the Le Meridien Jakarta held another one of their yearly signature Perspective Events on Sunday, 4 December 2016. Entitled “Unlocking The Morning Jakarta”, the event wanted to encourage its guests to appreciate and discover their morning and to look at it from a different perspective.
The Le Meridien Perspective Event is an annual guest engagement that pays homage to the hotel's signature 'Destination Unlocked' concept helping guests to discover the most unexpected and engaging experiences therefore unlocking what the destination has to offer inside and outside the hotel. And one of the best ways to experience Jakarta, is when the traffic is at its lightest and the air is at its cleanest, on a car-free Sunday morning.
The event started with a 90 minute yoga session at the hotel's pool side led by Hendri Take, an Indonesian urban yogi, member of Yoga Alliance International and the winner of Influence Asia 2015 for Indonesia – Health and Fitness.
After the yoga session, the participants had a cooking class with Executive Chef Roger Rechsteiner at Al Nafoura Restaurant. In this class, guests were shown how to make Le Meridien's signature breakfast of Poached Eggs and Omelet, and get to practice it themselves. The signature breakfast is a collection of classic breakfast favorite, with a local modern twist. For more information on upcoming Le Meridien Perspective Event, check out their website
