This Ramadan through Ascott Berbagi program, more that 280 staff from Ascott’s network of 60 lodging properties across 15 cities in Indonesia distributed takjil boxes of food and drinks to families living in low-income urban areas, orphanages and becak communities, which takjil boxes are made by the restaurants of Ascott’s lodging properties.
Mr Philip Lim, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Indonesia, said: “As a responsible lodging company, Ascott has been giving back to the community over the 25 years since we started operations in Indonesia. Ascott Berbagi is a signature corporate social responsibility activity we conduct every year during Ramadan.
Especially for Ascott properties located in Jakarta, Bekasi and Bogor, a total of 17 participating properties, including HARRIS Vertu Harmoni, The Botanica Sanctuary, Pesona Alam Resort & Spa, HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading, HARRIS Suites FX Sudirman, HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion, HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Bekasi, HARRIS Hotel Sentul City Bogor, Kimaya Slipi, YELLO Hotel Harmoni, YELLO Hotel Manggarai, POP! Kelapa Gading, POP! Tebet, POP! New Market, POP! BSD, POP! Airport, POP! Kemang. Ascott Regional Jakarta, Bekasi and Bogor distributed 405 takjil boxes for residents in the Pulogandang area of North Jakarta.
