
ISEF 2021 is officially open, presenting 157 fashion designers and 41 brand accessories with hybrid programs and takes place at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) from 27-30 October 2021 and virtual platform of ISEF. The 8th year of ISEF, this year highlight the theme “Magnifying Halal Industries Through Food and Fashion Markets for Economic Recovery”, which aims to develop a national halal value chain ecosystem and to encourage the strengthening of sharia business which has the resilience to face the uncertainty of regional and global economic situations. The annual partnership with Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Fashion Chamber and Indonesia Halal Lifestyle Center (IHLC), ISEF presents series of activities, exhibitions, talk shows, business matching, competition, fashion shows for Muslim fashion by designers of Indonesian fashion also members of Indonesian Sharian Creative Industry (IKRA) in the fashion and accessories sector.
On the opening day, Fashion Parade 1 was held featuring Fenny Saptalia Syari; Batik LANGGAM accessories by Nahdi Jewelry, Deyana Ethnic Fashion by Casheila; Go Tik, D’Eco, and Putroe Lhok; Susi Songket; Cerita Naara by Ariy Arka; ARAE accessories by Ceu Popy Manik; Charlie Bravo accessories by Mihalul Abrar and accessories by Joglo Ayu Tenan; DIANRISTY, BADON by Abdul Hadi and accessories by Fajar Wonk and WOBA; Batik Siger by Una and accessories by Ratu Eceng, and Si.Se.Sa. Then followed with Fashion Parade 2, featuring Indonesian traditional cloth collections by KPw Bank Indonesia Aceh x Deden Siswanto shoes by Akar NFYR, KPw Bank Indonesia Purwokerto x Lia Mustafa supported by YKK, KPw Bank Indonesia Jawa Timur x Itang Yunasz, KPw Bank Indonesia Sibolga x Vivi Zubedi, KPw Bank Indonesia Jambi x Monika Jufry, KPw Bank Indonesia Banten x Wignyo, KPw Bank Indonesia Sumatera Barat x Neera Alatas, KPw Bank Indonesia Sumatera Barat × Tuty Adib supported by Deskranasda Payakumbuh, KPw Bank Indonesia Jogjakarta x Lisa Fitria, KPw Bank Indonesia Nusa Tenggara Timur x Sofie, KPw Bank Indonesia Sumatera Selatan x Irna La Perle supported by Salsabila Pearl, Kain Jumputan by Galeri Kain Tuan Kentang Palembang and Jumputan by Galeri Wong Kito Palembang.
This year’s ISEF Sustainable Muslim Fashion provides a different experience for designers to present his/her works on the runway with a theatrical concept. On the first day of the event, Fashion Presentation conveys a strong message about sustainable fashion presented by Unique, Ina Priyono, Black by Rosie Rahmadi x Pala Nusantara, Elva Fauqo, Anggia Handmade x Ridaka Weaving.
