In the heart of Jakarta’s Golden Triangle, The St. Regis Jakarta is more than a hotel—it’s a stage for experiences shaped by music, performance, and timeless rituals.

Conceived by award-winning New York designer Alexandra Champalimaud, The St. Regis Jakarta blends cosmopolitan elegance with a sense of personal connection, and now the St. Regis Bar Jakarta invites guests to step into the golden age of jazz with its latest conceptual cocktail journey, a tribute to 1920s New York when music, nightlife, and identity were being reinvented. Ranked No. 22 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, the bar channels the spirit of improvisation, elegance, rebellion, and social energy that defined the era and shaped modern bar culture.

The third volume of the New York-Inspired Cocktails collection pours legend into the glass. Duke Ellington’s sophisticated orchestration is reimagined as Duke of Jazz No.2, a refined cognac sour that mirrors his elegant composure. Louis Armstrong’s joyful trumpet bursts inspire Pop’s, with effervescent bubbles that sparkle like his horn notes. The Cotton Club’s Prohibition-era passwords live on in 403 Negroni, a bold reinterpretation embodying speakeasy secrecy. The Savoy Ballroom’s legendary dance floor becomes Happy Feet, a lively spirit that never stops moving. Even Al Capone’s bartending days at Coney Island resurface in Crime-Tender, recalling the bootleg gin era when fresh ingredients transformed harsh spirits into drinkable pleasures.

Each cocktail, explained Bar Manager Paulo Naranjo, is rooted in a jazz figure, venue, or song from that transformative period. He described the menu as a way of translating personality and rhythm into flavor—capturing Ellington’s balance and composure, Goodman’s precision and swing, Fitzgerald’s purity and elegance, and Armstrong’s spontaneous genius. In his words, the collection functions as a cultural timeline you can taste. Additional highlights include The First Lady, honoring Ella Fitzgerald’s pure voice; Swinging Benny, a tribute to Benny Goodman’s precise swing; and Paper Moon, inspired by Fitzgerald’s timeless song, reinterpreting the modern-classic Paper Plane for dreamers chasing impossible dreams.

Beyond the chic bar, guests are welcomed into 282 rooms and suites, each with a private balcony and the signature St. Regis Butler service that turns every stay into a bespoke journey. Six distinct dining venues invite discovery, from all-day culinary explorations to the New York-inspired jazz bar where traditions like the Sound of Light, the art of sabrage, afternoon tea, and the Violet Hour martini unfold as daily rituals. With over 2,500 square meters of event space, The St. Regis Jakarta transforms all forms of gatherings into celebrations. It is a destination where design, culture, and hospitality converge, offering a setting as vibrant and multifaceted as the city itself.
