Alila Villas Uluwatu recreates the Indonesian ‘kaki lima’ street food experience one night a week; allowing its guests to experience eating like the locals do amidst the beautiful outdoor setting of the hotel’s Sculpture Garden.

To provide a truly authentic experience, Alila Villas Uluwatu has collaborated with five local ‘kaki lima’ vendors to set up food carts at the resort during the Indonesian Street Food Night to bring their guests a taste of Indonesian delicacies.

Hotel guests can try ordering dishes themselves from the stalls, assisted by a knowledgeable service team who will help with the translation if needed. On the menu, is a selection of popular traditional street food such as “Mie Ayam” Chicken Noodle, Balinese “Babi Guling” Suckling Pig, “Bakso” Meatball Noodle and “Pempek” Fishcake, among others. The collaborative initiative underlines Alila’s philosophy of sustainability by preserving Indonesian street food culture and introducing it to international market.
