Offering a wide selection of distinct signature experiences in each property, MESA Hotels and Resorts is a hotel, property and yacht management company that aims to provide innovative ideas and inspire its guests. From the busy business lifestyle in the heart of a city, spa experience in the middle of nature surrounded by an active coffee plantation and mountainous views, to a sanctuary hanging from the edge of a cliff, a stay with MESA Hotels and Resorts is a complete combination of experiences with different and unique sensations.

It began with the transformation of Hotel Kemang into grandkemang in 2006. As the Managing Director of grandkemang Hotel, Richard Daguise had a huge role in the success, sharing his passion for a new vision and organization of the hotel. His commitment to perfection, dedication to creativity and detail, along with extensive experience in both the operational and marketing aspects of hotel management, ensured Recapital Group to entrust him with the responsibility of heading the newly formed Mesa Hotels and Resorts in 2007. After grandkemang Hotel, new members were added including the secluded MesaStila in Central Java, the dramatic, award-winning The edge in Uluwatu, Bali, and upcoming opulence collections The Reef in the Thousand Islands, MesaNara in Bandung and MesaKara in Ubud, Bali.

“We are currently expanding The Edge, so we’re going to have four more villas. It will be finished by October 2016,” Richard explained about the latest updates on Mesa Hotels and Resorts. “We also recently took over the sales and marketing representation of Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh. The hotel already has a very strong base when it comes to Vietnamese market, so we’re leaving it in their hands. We are looking to expand the market in Europe— France, UK, Russia, along with Asian market such as Singapore, Korea and Indonesia.”

Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh, the latest addition to MESA Hotels and Resorts, is situated on one of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Van Long, North of Vietnam and the only five star luxury resort in the area. It took around ninety minutes drive from Hanoi, but it feels like a trip back in time to a peaceful haven unlike any other. The undisturbed, lush surroundings framed the unique architecture designed like a Tonkin Village in Vietnam’s ancient capital. There are 172 rooms from Superior to Suite types, two bars and two restaurants serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine along with Western and Asian specialties, and a range of pampering services including the La Cochinchine Luxury Spa, yoga classes, and swimming pools. Guests can also ride a bike, take a cow wagon tour, or explore the nature reserve by boat, either to visit the caves or just take in the scenery.

When asked about what MESA Hotels and Resorts has in plan aside from previously mentioned projects, Richard answered with a smile, “We do have a few projects on the pipeline but they’re still under wraps. You’ll hear about them soon enough.” He added, “MESA Hotels & Resorts is going to continue to do even better and grow even bigger.”
