Studio Ghibli’s Movies in Indonesian Theaters

Kaninga Pictures and Hakuhodo DY media partners with Studio Ghibli as licenser, in cooperation with Cinema 21, will bring Studio Ghibli's most famous films to 45 theaters in 17 cities throughout Indonesia. For many animation fans in Indonesia, this will be their first opportunity to watch Studio Ghibli’s masterpieces in a proper movie theater, as its films have only been shown in a handful cities, or in very limited events such as film or cultural festivals.
 
The movies shown are Spirited Away (1-7 April 2017), My Neighbor Totoro (1-7 May 2017), Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (1-7 July 2017), Princess Mononoke (1-7 August 2017), and Howl’s Moving Castle (1-7 September 2017). 
 
There will also be an exhibition titled The World of Ghibli Jakarta from 10 August to 17 September 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, promising the magic of Studio Ghibli from the replica of Hayao Miyazaki's worktable to the enchanting charm of Princess Mononoke forest.
