Modest Fashion ISEF 2020 is part of the annual Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2020 which was successfully held from 28-31 October 2020. The four-day event consisted of attractive fashion programs highlighting the main theme of Sustainable Fashion, Sustainable Lifestyle. In collaboration with Bank Indonesia, the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC) and the Indonesia Halal Lifestyle Center (IHLC), the overall aim is accelerating the economy and the sharia financial system with Muslim Fashion as a leading halal commodity to support the development of the country’s halal industry ecosystem. The goal is to make Indonesia the center of the global halal industry.
ISEF 2020 introduced and promoted Indonesian Muslim Fashion products on a global scale. This year, Modest Fashion ISEF 2020 was held virtually and featured 720 designs from 164 Indonesian Muslim fashion designers/brands.
The Virtual Fashion Show featured a wide range variety of Muslim fashion styles, from syar’i to formal and casual, from ethnic contemporary to an urban and edgy modern look, highlighting the concept of sustainable fashion and referencing trend forecasting for 2021/2022. The sustainable principle on display included the use of materials that are renewable and easy to biodegrade, save energy, are recyclable, have multi-functional designs and many other creations. Taking part in a sustainable lifestyle is an added value in attracting the global market and promoting Indonesia as the the global halal industry’s leader.
