In celebration of Yogyakarta’s 266th anniversary, Yogyakarta City Tourism held various events over the nine days from October 1st  to 9th . Ranging from sports to arts and culture, local citizens and tourists were able to witness a splendid festival.

Under the theme ‘Sulih, Pulih, Wulih’ or ‘Transform, Heal, Better’, that goes some way to describing the current condition of the city of Yogyakarta which has managed to bounce back to a mostly normal situation, the ‘Pesona Budaya Nusantara’ festival began with the launch of Yogyakarta’s 266th Anniversary logo on Saturday in Jakarta and the Kleringan area of Yogyakarta.

This continued with cycling around the city, cultural activities in Malioboro, and was followed with an art exhibition from local MSMEs. The peak of the celebration was the Wayang Jogja Night Carnival, an annual event in the calendar of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
