The first five-star hotel in Indonesia to offer international standards was built in 1962 on the occasion of the 4th Asian Games. Since then, Hotel Indonesia has become a historic landmark. Celebrating its 60th Anniversary, and now named Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, the hotel has successfully held a series of programs during the month of August 2022 including the celebration of Independence Day for the Republic of Indonesia. The programs ranged from an exclusive pop-art exhibition named “Origins” in collaboration with the ISA Art Gallery which saw artworks spread across the main Lobby and Nirwana lounge, culinary festivals with specialties from the archipelago, photo contests on social media, special offers on rooms, and many more.
The celebration month concluded with the “A Night to Remember” concert that featured some of the best Indonesian musicians such as Gus Tedja from Bali, Paksi Band from Yogyakarta, Wayang Show by Gibran Papadimitriou, and modern sinden by Gisella Ananstasia. This event took place in the Bali Room, which was elegantly decorated with an Indonesian modern authentic ambience and was attended by Ambassadors from the embassies in Indonesia, VIP guests, corporate clients, fashion designers, KOLs, media, vendors and partners. All guests were entertained with memorable performances and served with a lavish Indonesian fusion set menu dinner and wine pairing. At the end of the evening, following a celebration toast on stage, members of the hotel management and owning company looked forward to more success in the coming years.
