The Muslim Fashion Festival (MUFFEST)+ 2023 was successfully held from 7-10 March 2023 at The Westin Jakarta with the theme “Unlock Global Opportunities with MUFFEST+”. This year’s MUFFEST+ is part of a series of roads to the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MOTIONFEST) to expand the reach of Indonesian modest fashion in the global market and make Indonesia the center of world modest fashion.

Indonesia’s position as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, which is equivalent to 24% of the global population, means promising prospects to become a center for modest fashion. As stated in the Global Islamic Economy Report 2022 forecasts that the modest fashion sector in 2025 will grow and reach USD 375 billion. Hopefully, this very potential market share will motivate fashion designers to continuously develop Indonesia’s branding as the world’s modest fashion center through IN2MOTIONFEST.

The four days of MUFFEST+ 2023 recorded 12,358 visitors from B2B and B2C buyers. MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2023 also presented Indonesian modest fashion products highlighting the concept of sustainability and optimizing the utilization of local resources, to drive the local economy, such as the use of Nusantara textiles as an advantage that distinguishes Indonesian modest fashion products from other countries to take part in the global market.

MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2023 presented a series of events in the form of Fashion Shows by 200 designers and Trade Shows of 150 brands that showcase the diversity of Muslim fashion styles ranging from conventional, contemporary to syar’i including the 8 International Guest Designers from AFDS (ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase), MYDC (Modest Young Designer Competition), Next Face 2023 Model Search, Talk-shows, and Fashion Trend Forecasting Seminars.

MUFFEST+ Road to IN2MOTIONFEST 2023 was held in partnership with various parties, including Wardah Beauty as the Official Make-up Artist & Hijab do Partner and The Westin Jakarta as the Official Venue Partner, sponsored by Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) and Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, BBPVP Semarang, Indonesian Ministry of Trade, Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, YOU.C1000, and ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS), Hijabersmom Community, and Hijabers Community as Community Partners.
